The Corsican Workers’ Union (STC - Syndicat des Travailleurs Corses) announced it has suspended participation in collaborative negotiations with Air Corsica (XK, Ajaccio) on June 22, 2026. The union stated that the airline's management, which introduced a restructuring plan in May 2025, has "betrayed" staff by implementing a "sham strategy" which has led to understaffing and operational dysfunction. Until now, the union engaged in dialogue and accepted wage freezes "in the spirit of solidarity and trust." The carrier rejects these accusations, and maintains openness to continued dialogue. Air Corsica's reorganisation includes the redundancy of 70 employees by 2027, as it seeks to return to profitability after five years of losses.
