Flexjet (LXJ, Cleveland Cuyahoga Country) has formally inducted its first GVII-G500, with the type set to gradually replace the company's fleet of G450s. Flexjet further entered into an agreement with Gulfstream Aerospace granting it exclusivity as the only fractional ownership operator to take delivery of new GVII-G500 and G700 aircraft.
The company's first GVII-G500 is a 2024-built unit, registered as N200FX (msn 72136) on December 30, 2025. The ultra-long-range jet was acquired by Flexjet the same day and became active on January 14, ferrying between Singapore Seletar and Cleveland Hopkins, where the company maintians a hangar, with stops at Tokyo Narita and Seattle Boeing Field.
The aircraft has been operating within the United States since March. Before joining Flexjet, the GVII-G500 was registered in San Marino as T7-J3T and privately operated out of Jakarta Halim.
Flexjet's Gulfstream fleet now comprises four different Gulfstream types, including the newly added GVII-G500, the G650, the G700, introduced in mid-2025, and the G450. “The GVII-G500 will gradually replace the G450s and will serve as the large cabin aircraft type going forward,” the company said in a statement. The number of GVII-G500s to be added and the delivery timeline have not been disclosed.
Currently, Flexjet operates twenty-six G450s and six G450LXis, a bespoke cabin design exclusive to the company. Similar to the G450LXi, the GVII-G500 will be offered under Flexjet's Red Label programme, featuring bespoke cabin interiors and dedicated crews assigned to individual aircraft.
According to Flexjet, the GVII-G500's improved range, speed, and fuel efficiency are among the main reasons for replacing the G450, enabling non-stop flights between more intercontinental city pairs.
The company's fleet comprises over 340 aircraft, 68 of which Gulfstream. In addition to the G450 and GVII-G500, Flexjet operates ten G650s, five G650(ER)s, eleven G650ERs, and five G700s, all in the United States. Flexjet Operations (Malta)'s fleet includes a G650, two G650(ER)s, and a G650ER.
Looking ahead, Flexjet expects to take delivery of another 50 aircraft during the remainder of 2026, after receiving several factory-new Challenger 3500, Phenom 300E, Praetor 500, and G700 jets during the first half of the year.
