AirAsia X (D7, Kuala Lumpur International) shareholders approved the renaming of the holding company to AirAsia Group at the company's annual general meeting on June 25, 2026. The special resolution was approved with 99.9959% of votes cast in favour, with 1,376,985,778 shares voting for the proposal and 56,744 against. As part of a corporate restructuring, AirAsia (AK, Kuala Lumpur International) and AirAsia Aviation Group were consolidated into AirAsia X, while other non-aviation subsidiaries were spun off into Capital A.
