TNT Airways (Liège) is planning to reduce its long-haul fleet of four B747-400F and three B777F freighter following the failed attempt by UPS to take over its parent TNT Express. According to TNT Express' acting CEO Bernard Bot at least one B747-400 freighter is currently not required with options for the entire long-haul fleet being reviewed. While the transaction previously announced to sell TNT Airways and sister carrier PAN Air (Madrid Barajas) to ASL Aviation Group will not go ahead as it was conditional on a successful acquisition of TNT Express by UPS, TNT is also still considering selling one or both of the airlines.
