GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes (G3, São Paulo Congonhas) has taken delivery of its first A330-200 in its own livery, wet leased from sister company Wamos Air, also part of Abra Group.

The arrival of the aircraft, EC-NBN (msn 818) came ahead of the launch of GOL’s new Rio de Janeiro International-New York JFK service on July 8.

The aircraft is configured with 280 seats and represents GOL’s introduction to the widebody segment as it prepares to receive its five in-house A330-900Ns in the near future. Until now, GOL’s strategy had centred around a narrowbody Boeing B737 fleet.

GOL operates a fleet of 144 aircraft, comprising twelve B737-700s, fifty-seven B737-8s, sixty-six B737-800s, and nine B737-800(BCF)s.
