Air India (AI, Delhi International) will be run by an interim committee appointed by parent company Tata Sons until a new CEO is found to take the place of current chief executive Campbell Wilson, who is due to leave in September 2026. The committee comprises Tata chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran, former Air India director Pradeep Singh Kharola, and other senior executives. CCO Nipun Aggarwal and former Vistara CEO Vinod Kannan are reportedly top contenders for the job.
The management reshuffle comes as the flag carrier continues to battle financial and operational headwinds which have led to it slashing flights, and potentially delaying expansion plans in an effort to cut costs.
