Akasa Air (QP, Mumbai International) has suspended flights from Jewar Noida International to Navi Mumbai International and Bengaluru International less than one month after launching them, the Hindustan Times newspaper reported.

The Navi Mumbai route is expected to resume on October 1, 2026, while the airline has not disclosed a resumption date for the Bengaluru service. The suspension of both routes means Akasa Air will temporarily withdraw from the airport until the fourth quarter of 2026.

"At Akasa Air, we continuously optimise our network and schedules based on factors such as customer demand, seasonality, operational efficiencies, and aircraft deployment," a spokesperson told the newspaper.

The airline launched daily services to both destinations on June 16, one day after commercial operations began at the new airport, using its B737-8 fleet.

Akasa Air and IndiGo Airlines (6E, Delhi International) became the airport's launch operators after Air India Express (IX, Delhi International) shelved plans to begin serving Noida. The carrier, owned by Tata Sons, reportedly decided against establishing another operation near its existing Delhi International base.

According to ch-aviation data, IndiGo remains the largest operator out of Noida, with links to 16 destinations. Lufthansa Cargo (LH, Frankfurt International) has also filed schedules to operate cargo flights from Frankfurt International on September 1.
