Philippine Airlines (PR, Manila Ninoy Aquino International) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Airbus to order nine incremental A350-1000s, alongside options for five more. The deal doubles the carrier's total A350-1000 commitment to 18 aircraft, two of which have already been delivered. Deliveries for the second batch are scheduled between 2034 and 2036, while the initial batch will continue arriving through 2028. Philippine Airlines has also selected Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines to power the widebody fleet, extending the agreement to cover optioned aircraft if exercised. Beyond its Airbus expansion, the flag carrier also committed to take fifteen B787-10s, with options for five more.
