Hera Flight (HER, Orlando Sanford) has added a first GV. A company spokesperson told ch-aviation the aircraft is ready to enter service and will be based at St. Petersburg/Clearwater.
“This induction allows us to continue to offer our clients more large-cabin, long-range aircraft as demand grows, whether it's a cross-country business trip or an intercontinental journey. We're proud that our fleet has aircraft that can fulfil our customers, needs, and demands,” said Jonathan Hollar, co-owner of Hera Flight.
The 2001-built aircraft, N996GA (msn 596), is configured for up to 14 passengers. Leased by Hera Flight, the jet has been parked at St. Petersburg/Clearwater since May 18, following an approximately four-month stay at Chattanooga Lovell.
Preparations to make the aircraft ready for service included coordinating airport noise-abatement procedures with local municipalities and working alongside the FAA's Flight Standards District Office to ensure the aircraft was fully compliant for long-range oceanic operations.
The spokesperson further said the GV was assigned the company's most experienced captains and first officer, all of whom completed a full four-week FAA-approved initial training programme at FlightSafety.
The aircraft was previously operated under the Part 135 certificate of Journey Aviation (JNY, Boca Raton) until late 2025. The company's Part 135-certified fleet continues to include four additional GVs, including one added in early 2026, alongside several other Gulfstream Aerospace jets and aircraft built by other OEMs.
Hera Flight's Part 135 certificate now comprises the newly inducted GV, two GIVs, five GIV-SPs, two Learjet 60s, including one stored at St. Petersburg/Clearwater since 2023, a Learjet 60SE, a Challenger 300 inducted in mid-2025, and ten Citation X aircraft. Six Citation X jets and five GIV-SPs, including a former Journey Aviation aircraft, have joined the company's fleet since mid-2025.
