Vietravel Airlines (VU, Hue Phu Bai International) has received a reissued air transport business licence after doubling its charter capital to VND2.3 trillion dong (USD87.4 million), the online business newspaper Báo Đầu tư reported. The document replaces its previous licence, issued on October 7, 2025.
The new document, licence No. 01/2026/GPKDVCHK, lists four corporate shareholders. T&T Aviation Transport and Trading JSC is the largest with a 49.2% stake, followed by BVIM Fund Management with 19.9%, T&T International Logistics Superport and Centre Company Limited with 16.4%, and Trang Thi Trade and Services JSC with 14.5%.
Shareholders approved the capital increase from VND1.3 trillion (USD49.4 million) on April 28, 2025, and the board confirmed its completion on December 5. The new licence also records the carrier's headquarters at 172 Ngoc Khanh Street in Hanoi, replacing its previous registered address in Hue.
The reissuance comes amid an ownership and operational restructuring following the entry of T&T Group and its affiliates as strategic shareholders in late 2024. Founding shareholder Vietravel Tourism Company approved the disposal of all 18,463,774 shares it held in the airline in November 2025 and the termination of the carrier's right to use the Vietravel brand.
Vietravel Airlines said earlier in 2026 that it planned to adopt a new name as the next stage of the restructuring. T&T Group said in April that the carrier was finalising its new name and brand identity, although neither has yet been disclosed.
