Northern Jet (NJM, Grand Rapids, MI) has launched large-cabin Gulfstream Aerospace operations following the induction of a G550, the company announced.
“The Gulfstream G550 marks an exciting new chapter for Northern Jet. This addition reflects our continued growth, the strength of our aircraft management capabilities, and our commitment to supporting the evolving travel needs of our clients,” CEO Chris Bull said.
The 2007-built aircraft, N269WR (msn 5153), is configured for up to 14 passengers. Based at Orlando Executive, it became active under Northern Jet's 'NJM' code on March 21 with a flight between St. Maarten and Fort Lauderdale Executive.
This G550 was previously operated under the Part 135 certificate of STAjets (KFB, Santa Ana, CA) until late 2025. The company continues to offer seven additional G550s for charter alongside several other Gulfstream jets and aircraft built by other OEMs.
With the addition, Northern Jet's Part 135 certificate comprises two Gulfstream aircraft, namely the newly inducted G550 and a G150. Other large-cabin aircraft under the company's charter certificate include a Challenger 604 and a Challenger 650, the latter added in mid-2026.
Northern Jet's Part 135-certified fleet further comprises two Learjet 40XRs, a Learjet 45XR, three Learjet 70s, three Learjet 75s, a Learjet 75 Liberty, three Challenger 300s, two Challenger 350s, a Challenger 3500, a Citation Jet 2, a Citation Jet 3, two Citation Jet 3+ aircraft, a Citation Jet 4 Gen2, a Citation XLS, a Citation XLS+, a Citation Sovereign, a Citation Sovereign+, a Citation X, and a PC-12 turboprop.
