Aerolíneas Argentinas (AR, Buenos Aires Jorge Newbery) has said it will incorporate 20 new aircraft as part of its self-financed 2027-2031 plan, building on a previous announcement on its commitment to grow its fleet.

During the Farnborough Air Show 2026, the state-owned carrier signed the lease contracts for 14 new aircraft, namely six A330-900Ns and eight B737-10s. The plan is to be completed with six B737-8s, two of them already delivered and four to follow.

The first of these pending aircraft will arrive in the first quarter of 2027, with the delivery of a B737-8. In the widebody segment, Aerolíneas’ delivery schedule sees the arrival of the first A330-900N in the first half of 2028, leased from Avolon. This type will have 291 seats in a three-class configuration: 30 in executive class, 24 in premium economy, and 237 in economy.

The delivery of the six B737-10s, which will be leased from Aviation Capital Group, will take place after the certification of the Boeing narrowbody type.

ch-aviation data shows Aerolíneas’ fleet comprises ten A330-200s, two B737-700s, twenty-eight B737-800s, fifteen B737-8s, two B737-800(SF)s, one B757-200, and twenty-four E190s.

In the earlier December 2025 announcement, Aerolíneas Argentinas said it expected to incorporate 18 new aircraft in the coming years: four A330neo, two B737-8s, four B737-9s, and eight B737-10s.
