Native Air, a subsidiary of Air Methods (Denver Centennial), has based a PC-12 at Las Cruces, New Mexico, to transport patients requiring longer-distance transfers for higher-level medical care or during weather conditions that may limit helicopter operations. The new fixed-wing base, which entered service on July 22, is co-located with a sister rotor-wing base at Las Cruces. Native Air's New Mexico network further includes bases at Alamogordo White Sands, Deming, Silver City, Artesia, Carlsbad, NM, and Roswell, all operating under air medical service provider Air Methods.
