Wizz Air (W6, Budapest) reopened its base at Palermo International on August 3, 2026, after withdrawing from the Sicilian capital in 2022. As announced in February, the low-cost carrier will base two A321-200NX aircraft at the airport and increase its network from the city to 10 routes. From September 6, a third A321-200NX will be added, along with additional routes including to Barcelona El Prat, Dortmund, Marrakech, and Prague Václav Havel.
