Jambojet (JM, Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta) has secured Ghanaian airline PassionAir as its first third-party MRO customer, resulting in DHC-8-Q400, 9G-BPD (msn 4204), arriving for C-check heavy maintenance at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta after being ferried from Accra via Bangui between August 5-6, ADS-B data confirms. PassionAir operates three DHC-8-300s and two DHC-8-Q400s. Certified to provide line, base, and heavy maintenance, Jambojet has brought maintenance in-house as part of a strategy to lower costs and build technical capacity. The airline now plans to offer third-party Q400 maintenance services to generate additional revenue.
