Air India (AI, Delhi International) plans to bring back most of its international services from September 1, 2026, while also adding frequencies on certain major long-haul routes, amid ongoing efforts to restore flights it had temporarily reduced during July and August as a result of sharply rising fuel prices. The airline will reportedly add extra frequencies to Milan Malpensa, Frankfurt International, Zurich, Vienna, Melbourne Airport, Tokyo and New York for the IATA northern winter season. The airline suspended 145 weekly international flights between June and August, affecting routes across North America, Europe, South and Southeast Asia, and the Far East.
