Air Peace (P4, Lagos) said it lost more than NGN2 billion naira (USD1.5 million) after trade union members barricaded entrances to departure terminals at Lagos and Abuja on August 11, 2026, temporarily disrupting flight operations. COO Oluwatoyin Olajide told reporters that one employee was hurt in the fracas. She accused the unions of violating a 2024 Federal High Court injunction barring forced unionisation, and raised concern about security at Nigerian airports. The members of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), the Trade Union Congress (TUC), and the Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN) protested what they described as anti-union practices by domestic airlines and their failure to remit to the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) a 5% ticket sales charge (TSC) collected from passengers.
