Binani Air (NA, Lagos) has engaged an unidentified international aviation firm to help develop a major MRO facility in Abuja, aimed at reducing Nigerian airlines' reliance on overseas heavy maintenance providers. Founder and chairwoman Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed said the project could retain about USD218 million in foreign exchange annually while supporting local jobs and technical expertise. Binani Air operates two E170 longe-range variants and one Hawker 800XP, according to ch-aviation data.
