Nachingwea in southeastern Tanzania will get its first scheduled commercial passenger service on September 14, 2026, when Auric Air (UI, Mwanza) launches a 3x weekly route from Dar es Salaam, using a Cessna (single turboprop) Grand Caravan C208B. Nachingwea has a 1,793-metre-long unpaved runway 14/32, at an elevation of 1,400 feet (430 metres) above mean sea level (MSL). It will be Auric Air's ninth destination and 11th route in Tanzania, according to ch-aviation data. The airline already serves Dar es Salaam, Seronera, Zanzibar, Arusha, Iringa, Mafia Island, Pemba Wawi, and Tanga with a fleet of 29 aircraft, including 20 Grand Caravans (and an additional one joining the fleet in October 2026), two newer-generation PC-12s, one DHC-8-100s (plus two wet leased from ALS - Aircraft Leasing Services), one DHC-8-200, and three DHC-8-300s.
