IAG International Airlines Group, the parent of British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, Vueling Airlines, and LEVEL, has completed EUR1 billion euros (USD1.16 billion) of its planned EUR1.5 billion (USD1.74 billion) shareholder-return programme, with the repurchased shares held in treasury pending cancellation. On September 10, 2026, IAG completed its second EUR500 million (USD580 million) share buyback, representing 97.75 million repurchased shares or 2.12% of its issued share capital. The programme forms part of IAG's previously announced return of excess cash to shareholders. The first EUR500 million buyback was completed in May 2026.
