Lufthansa Group has decided to exercise a part of its B737 MAX options from a 2023 order and book twenty B737-10s. The initial order included forty B737-8s and an option for another sixty B737 MAX aircraft. The group said that the first deliveries of the yet-to-be-certified variant are expected in the early 2030s.

“By exercising the first 20 options, Lufthansa Group further strengthens its long-term capacity planning. The new aircraft are intended to gradually replace older Airbus A320 family aircraft across the group,” Lufthansa said in a press release.
