Waltzing Matilda Aviation (WZM, Bedford, MA) has launched Embraer Executive Jets charter operations following the induction of a Phenom 300, the company announced.

“The Phenom 300 gives our clients a light jet with a cabin that doesn't feel like a compromise,” said JP Doisneau, director of sales at Waltzing Matilda Aviation, adding that the aircraft is well suited to clients flying along the East Coast, between Teterboro and Washington DC, and to South Florida.

The 2011-built jet, N16ML (msn 50500045), is configured for up to seven passengers and is the first aircraft in Waltzing Matilda Aviation's fleet to be based at Bedford, MA.

Waltzing Matilda Aviation's first Embraer aircraft joins two Challenger 604s and two Citation Excels available for charter. In late 2025, the company phased out a Challenger 300.

In a late 2025 exclusive interview with ch-aviation, Waltzing Matilda Aviation CEO John Thomas said the company was considering additional managed or owned Citation 560-series aircraft, as well as a potential entry into the long-range jet segment.

Formerly of Sofar Air

Waltzing Matilda Aviation's newly inducted Phenom 300 was previously operated under the Part 135 certificate of aircraft management and charter specialist Sofar Air.

Sofar Air's Part 135-certified fleet continues to include two Phenom 300s, one inducted in mid-2026, as well as four Phenom 100s and a Falcon 2000LX added in late 2025. Sofar Air privately manages other aircraft, including another Phenom 100 inducted in late 2025.
