China Express Airlines (G5, Chongqing) controlling shareholder China Express Airlines Holdings pledged 24,390,247 shares to Huaneng Guicheng Trust on October 13, 2026, to finance equity investments. The pledge represents 8.2% of the parent's shareholding and 1.9% of the airline's share capital. The transaction increases the parent's total pledged shares to 64,562,180, or 21.6%, from 40,171,933 following an earlier pledge in July 2026. Including shareholders acting in concert, 106,562,180 shares, or 8.3% of the airline's equity, are pledged. The airline assured that the transaction would not affect its operations or alter its control.
