flyplus (NE) has added another A320-200 on wet lease from Jazeera Airways (J9, Kuwait), with 9K-CAO (msn 6124) entering service on October 1, 2026, ch-aviation has learned.
9K-CAO was repositioned from Kuwait to Cairo International on September 30 and subsequently operated its first revenue service under flyplus' 'NMA' designator the following day. The aircraft is currently based at Cairo and has been operating round trips to Gassim, Jeddah International, Tabuk, and other destinations since its arrival.
The 12.4-year-old Airbus narrowbody, powered by CFM International CFM56 engines, was delivered factory-new to Jazeera Airways in May 2014, ch-aviation data shows. The A320 seats 180 passengers in an all-economy layout.
flyplus, which recently rebranded from Nesma Airlines, also wet leases two other aircraft, A320-200 TC-GMB (msn 2747) from BBN Airlines Türkiye and A321-200 SU-SKH (msn 1503) from Sky Vision Airlines. Both aircraft started operating for flyplus in July 2026.
According to ch-aviation data, flyplus' in-house fleet comprises 13 aircraft, including eight A320-200s and five A321-200s.
