Air Ghana (GO, Accra) will operate cargo flights for DHL Express in Cameroon in cooperation with Allied Air (4W, Lagos) during the 2026/2027 winter season, the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority announced. The contract was confirmed as part of Cameroon's approval of airlines' seasonal operating programmes.

Cameroon's French-language EcoMatin reports that Air Ghana plans to leverage its more than 30 years of freight experience to establish itself as DHL's logistics partner in Cameroon.

The move comes amid a contraction in the country's air cargo market, with freight volumes falling 17.5% to 10,367 tonnes over the period cited, according to EcoMatin. DHL's Cameroonian subsidiary reported a 38% decline in net profit to XAF278 million Central African francs (USD477,572) in 2025.

ch-aviation has contacted Air Ghana for comment.

The airline operates a fleet of three aircraft, comprising one B737-400(F) and two B737-400(SF)s, according to ch-aviation data. The B737-400(SF) is deployed on its regional night cargo and courier services on behalf of DHL.
