ACIA Aero has delivered to FedEx Express (FX, Memphis International) the world's first ATR72-600(P2F) with large cargo door (LCD), the lessor announced on social media.
The aircraft is N830FE (msn 1239), an 11.6-year-old aircraft that operated for Air Madagascar between 2015 and 2018 and for Tsaradia between 2018 and 2024. In July 2025, ACIA announced that it had sold the first ATR72-600(P2F) LCD to FedEx.
“We see strong demand for modern turboprop freighters, and we are delighted to have played a part in bringing this capability to market,” ACIA Aero said in a statement.
In March 2025, FedEx ordered ten ATR72-600Fs from ATR - Avions de Transport Régional.
ch-aviation fleets data shows FedEx currently sources twenty-four ATR72-600Fs from operators including ASL Airlines Ireland, Empire Airlines, Gulf & Caribbean Cargo, Mountain Air Cargo, and Swiftair.
