International operations from Cox's Bazar will start in early November with the introduction of a stopover at the airport on Biman Bangladesh Airlines’ regular Dhaka-Muscat service. The route will be operated with a B777-300ER. The launch of international operations from the airport has so far been delayed multiple times. The November start date is also dependent on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's availability to be present at the inauguration.
