MEA - Middle East Airlines (ME, Beirut) has resumed flights to Riyadh after a three-week suspension of operations following Houthi rebel attacks on the Saudi Arabian airport. MEA said it obtained authorisation to operate a limited number of flights. ADS-B data confirms that the carrier's first flight since the shutdown, operated by A321-200NX T7-ME9 (msn 10322), arrived at Riyadh from Beirut on November 2, 2026. According to the airline's schedule, another three trips are expected operate during the first week, rising to five from November 9.
Riyadh reopened to commercial traffic on October 25, following a pause in the wake of an October 10 missile attack that killed 12 people and injured hundreds more. While airlines are beginning to restart operations to Riyadh, data shows that 94% of the 4,345 flights scheduled to depart the airport from October 10-27 were cancelled.
