Eastar Jet (ZE, Seoul Gimpo) and fellow LCC t'way Air (TW, Daegu) are to begin a unilateral codeshare operation from April 29, covering the airlines' Seoul Gimpo to Taipei Songshan service. However, Eastar Jet will place its “ZE” code on T’Way Air flights, but not vice versa. Eastar Jet currently operates the route thrice weekly using B737-700s while T'Way Air operates four times weekly with B737-800s. The two South Korean LCCs compete with Taiwanese carriers China Airlines (CI, Taipei Taoyuan) and EVA Air (BR, Taipei Taoyuan) on the route between the two airports located close to the city centres of both capitals.
