China Southern Airlines (CZ, Guangzhou) is planning to launch its own express cargo service, China Southern Express, from May 1. Using bellyhold cargo space on its existing fleet, the Chinese carrier is hoping to introduce a same-day parcel delivery on flights to initially include Urumqi, Shenyang Taoxian International, Shenzhen, Harbin, Changchun, Dalian, Zhengzhou, Wuhan, Changzhou, Haikou, Guangzhou and Shantou before expanding it on a national scale. The airline expects to gain a 15% market share within 2 years of launching.
