Air Canada rouge (RV, Toronto Pearson) launched operations with two A319-100s, C-GSJB (c/n 1673) & C-GJVY (c/n 1742), on July 1 from Toronto Pearson to Kingston Norman Manley. The A319s are expected to be used on various other Caribbean-bound flights namely the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Costa Rica and Jamaica while two ex-Air Canada (AC, Montréal Trudeau) B767-300(ER)s are used on long haul flights to Athens, Edinburgh and Venice Marco Polo from Montréal Trudeau and Toronto Pearson. Ultimately, rouge aims to take on twenty 767s and thirty A319s as Air Canada takes delivery of its thirty-seven B787-8s and additional B777-300ERs.
