Air Costa (Vijayawada) has announced October 15 as its launch date for regional scheduled domestic operations. It has already taken delivery of two ex-Gulf Air (GF, Bahrain International) E170s VT-LNR (cn 17000293) and VT-LSR (cn 17000278) with two new E190s on lease from GECAS currently being prepared at Embraer's facility in Alverca, Portugal. It will launch with daily services from Vijayawada via Bengaluru International to Jaipur and from Chennai to Jaipur on October 15 followed by a daily flight linking Chennai and Ahmedabad from October 23. Air Costa plans to add links from Chennai and Jaipur to Hyderabad International at a later stage.
