China Southern Airlines (CZ, Guangzhou) plans to use its first of ten B777-300ERs to launch a new four times weekly service linking its Guangzhou hub with New York JFK beginning August 6. The aircraft, B-2099 (msn 43219), is due for delivery from Boeing (BOE, Washington National) in February. By the end of 2014, China Southern expects to be operating five B777-300(ER)s that will complement the eight B777-200s and eight B777F freighters it already operates.
