TransAsia Airways (Taipei Songshan) has taken delivery of its first ATR72-600, B-22815 (cn 1133), at a ceremony at ATR - Avions de Transport Régional (EVX, Toulouse Blagnac) headquarters at Toulouse Blagnac, France. The turboprop is the first of twelve ATR72-600s ordered by TransAsia Airways as part of its fleet renewal and growth program. Currently, the Taiwanese carrier's prop fleet consists of eight ATR72-500s though other planes will gradually replace them over the next 2 years. B-22815 will start commercial operations on February 21 from Taipei Songshan to Penghu, before expanding to TransAsia's other domestic routes.
