Pullmantur Air (Madrid Barajas) has been acquired by a company formed by Spanish travel firm, Gowaii, European private investment firm, Springwater Capital, and cruise specialists, Royal Caribbean. In the deal announced last week, Pullmantur Group announced the sale of several of its ventures including Circuitos Turísticos por Europa, City Tours, Tour Operación, Nautalia Viajes and Pullmantur Air. Pullmantur Group will, however, retain a 30% stake in Nautalia Viajes and Pullmantur Air. The airline operates a selection of charter flights on behalf of the Pullmantur Group as well as ACMI assignments for other airlines. Using a fleet of four B747-400s, Pullmantur Air also operates long-haul services to several Caribbean destinations and feeder services from its Madrid Barajas hub to Scandinavia on behalf of Pullmantur Cruises.
