Air Corsica (XK, Ajaccio) and HOP! (France) (A5, Paris CDG) have signed a codeshare agreement which will ultimately result in improved year-round connections between mainland France and the island of Corsica.
Under the terms of the agreement, the two companies will offer a total of 44 direct connections from twenty cities across the continent - Lyon St. Exupéry, Paris Orly, Marseilles, Nice and Toulouse Blagnac in particular - to Corsica's four airports in Ajaccio, Bastia, Calvi and Figari.
The two companies have already moved to strengthen their aircraft usage. Since January, HOP!-Airlinair (Paris Orly) has been wet-leasing an Air Corsica ATR72-500, F-GRPI (cn 722), for use on flights between Basel/Mulhouse/Freiburg, FR and Paris Orly.
