Tassili Airlines (Algiers) is set to launch its first scheduled international flights to France, Italy and Turkey airline commercial director, Adil Cherouati, has announced.
The move comes after the Algerian authorities amended the airline's Air Operators Certificate to include provision for scheduled international services.
"The Department of Civil Aviation and Meteorology (Direction de l'Aviation Civile et de la Météorologie - DACM), which comes under the Ministry of Transport, has permitted Tassili Airlines to operate regular international flights following the amendment of its Air Operator's Certificate ..." Cherouati told the Algerian Press Service.
Established in March 1998 as a joint venture between oil parastatal Sonatrach and Air Algérie (AH, Algiers), the airline became a full subsidiary of Sonatrach in April 2005.
