China Eastern Airlines (MU, Shanghai Hongqiao) has inaugurated the newly completed airport at Delingha in the western province of Qinghai. China's WCARN Aviation news-wire says the airfield's first flight - an A319-100 from Xining - landed on June 16.

Construction of the CNY630million (USD110million) facility began in May 2011. It now features a 3'000m primary runway, 07/25, as well as a 4'000sqm terminal building capable of handling 200'000 passengers annually.
