Bek Air (Almaty International) began international operations on Saturday, October 4, with the launch of Astana Nursultan Nazarbayev to Ulgit (Mongolia) via Ust-Kamenogorsk flights. Kazakh newswire, B News, states the route will operate on a weekly basis initially with the frequency to be increased as demand for passenger and cargo traffic grows.
Ulgit is the capital of the Bayan-Ölgii Aimag (province) of Mongolia, located in the extreme west of the country, and is home to a sizeable expatriate Kazakh community.
Bek Air currently operates a fleet of six F100s on flights covering Aktau, Aktobe, Almaty International, Atyrau, Kostanay and Uralsk locally.
