APEX Airlines (Yangon) took delivery of its first ATR72-600, XY-AJV (cn 1229), on Wednesday, February 11. Skyliner Aviation tracked the aircraft's delivery as routed from Toulouse Blagnac to Yangon via Irakleion, Dubai World Central, and Dhaka.
Once certification is complete, the turboprop, on lease from the Air Lease Corporation (ALC), will be used to serve Myeik, Mandalay International, Heho, Yangon, Dawe, Bagan/Nyaung-u, and Kawthaung domestically as well as Singapore Changi, Kuala Lumpur International and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi regionally.
APEX expects its next machine to arrive between June and July, and the third to arrive in either September or October. It also plans to add A320-200s to its fleet.
