Aviatsa (VVT, Tegucigalpa) has commenced commercial operations using a pair of B737-200s, having secured its Air Operators Certificate (AOC) from the Honduran civil aviation authority (Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil - DGAC) late last week.

Initial routes involve service from Tegucigalpa to Roatán and Havana International (Cuba) with Cancún and San Pedro Sula also on the cards.
