Republic Airlines (Indianapolis International) is to end DHC-8-400 operations for United Airlines (UA, Chicago O'Hare) with effect from March 31 ch-aviation analysis of schedule data has revealed.

The announcement coincides with the capacity provider's recent decision to close its Denver International hub of operations where the Q400s are currently based. According to local media reports, Republic expects the winding down of operations at Denver to be completed by about October 1.

Reepublic uses the Q400s on flights from Denver to Colorado Springs, Hayden, Kansas City International, and Vail/Eagle.

Though it is in the process of shifting to an all-jet operation with its fleet of Q400s either being sold or placed with flybe. (2002) (Exeter) on lease, Republic will continue to operate twelve E175s for United Express.
