Setif airport will be closed for a period of 10 months starting March 15 for runway repairment works. According to ch-aviation analysis of capacity data, the airport is the sixth largest in Algeria by capacity offered after Algiers, Oran Ahmed Ben Bella, Constantine, Annaba and Bejaia.
Scheduled flights are offered from Sétif by Air Algérie (AH, Algiers), Aigle Azur (Paris Orly), Atlas Atlantique Airlines (Nantes) and Tassili Airlines (Algiers). More than 75% of the airport's weekly capacity is on flights to France including Lyon St. Exupéry, Paris Orly, St. Etienne, Marseilles and Basel/Mulhouse/Freiburg, FR. Domestically, Algier and Oran are served.
Passengers will have to use Constantine, Bejaja or Batna as alternative airports in the meantime.
