TAR Aerolíneas has applied for traffic rights with the United States Department of Transportation to be allowed to start charter flights to the US as well as a scheduled flight between its Querétaro base and San Antonio International.
In its application, TAR says it plans to start service on the route using its fleet of E145s as early as April, initially offering a twice weekly service on the route, its first international service.
TAR currently has a fleet of 10 E145s that it exclusively uses on domestic services in Mexico, currently serving 12 destinations already.
