Kashan Airport, located in central Iran, has reopened to all traffic following a twenty-year closure. Aviation Iran reports the country's government invested IRR100 billion (USD3.3 million) into the airfield's refurbishment and upgrading.

ATA Airlines (Iran) (TBZ, Tabriz) recently inaugurated flights to Kashan with Taftan Airlines (SBT, Tehran Mehrabad) and Caspian Airlines (CPN, Tehran Mehrabad) to follow.
