NCA - Nippon Cargo Airlines (KZ, Tokyo Narita) will wet-lease a B747-400F from Atlas Air (5Y, New York JFK) with delivery of the aircraft scheduled for January 2017. The contract is initially for one aircraft to be flown in key global routes across the transpacific connecting Asia and the United States.

The Japanese freight specialist currently operates four B747-400(FSCD)s and eight B747-8Fs on regular flights to the Netherlands, the United States, Thailand, Germany, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, and Taiwan.
