Glenorchy Air (Queenstown International) has added its first Cessna (single turboprop) 208B Grand Caravan EX, local aviation blog 3rd Level New Zealand has reported.
N879UT (msn 208B5563), a new-build unit, was ferried from Merced Regional via Honolulu and Pago Pago to Auckland International over the course of September 13-16, 2020, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows. The aircraft has since been repositioned to Wanaka but has yet to be added to the New Zealand register as ZK-MMZ.
According to Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand and the carrier's website, Glenorchy Air operates three seven-seat GA8s and a single five-seat Cessna (single piston) 206 Stationair. The newly delivered Grand Caravan will become the carrier's largest aircraft with its nine passenger seats.
A charter specialist based out of Queenstown International in New Zealand's South Island, Glenorchy Air focuses on scenic flights over the Milford Sound and in the vicinity of Mount Cook.
