Norse Atlantic Airways eyes Dubai, Dublin operations
22.06.2022 - 18:21 UTCNorse Atlantic Airways (N0, Oslo Gardermoen) has obtained slots at Dublin Int'l and Dubai Int'l airports for the Winter 2022/2023 season, although it has not disclosed its network plans for either.
The Norwegian long-haul low-cost carrier currently focuses on its home market at Oslo Gardermoen having launched transatlantic services last week and plans to add its second and third base, London Gatwick and Berlin Brandenburg Int'l, in mid-August 2022. The carrier has also implied that it would launch flights from Paris at some point but has yet to outline specific plans to do so.
The carrier's slot requests at Dublin and Dubai airports do not name any potential routes. Norse obtained 840 slots at the Irish gateway and 292 at Dubai for the entire the upcoming winter season.

Norse Atlantic Airways to operate TATL flights from Berlin
10.06.2022 - 10:29 UTCLess than a week before its maiden flight is due to depart, Norse Atlantic Airways (N0, Oslo Gardermoen) has said it will fly to two destinations in the United States from Berlin Brandenburg Int'l starting in mid-August, making the German capital the low-cost long-haul specialist's third European gateway after Oslo Gardermoen and London Gatwick.
The Norwegian start-up will launch its flight operations by linking Oslo and New York JFK on June 14, following that with Oslo to Fort Lauderdale Int'l, Los Angeles Int'l, and Orlando Int'l. On August 12, it will open a route between Gatwick and JFK, and on the same day start a temporary Oslo-Gatwick connection until the end of October.
Norse Atlantic Airways has also previously voiced plans to establish routes from one of the airports serving Paris, but nothing specific has since emanated from the airline on this issue. Norse nixes Newburgh for passenger ops due to cargo capacity
13.05.2022 - 02:33 UTCNorse Atlantic Airways (N0, Oslo Gardermoen) has opted against operating passenger services at Newburgh (New York Stewart) in the United States for the time being because the prerequisites are not yet in place for it to carry cargo, it has told local newspapers in the US.
The low-cost transatlantic start-up applied last year to the US Department of Transportation (DOT) to conduct services from Oslo Gardermoen to Newburgh, which lies about 100 kilometres north of Manhattan, as well as to Ontario in the Los Angeles area.
In January, it was cleared to provide passenger services at US airports, including Newburgh. However, by May, it had switched to New York JFK, with its first commercial flight now scheduled to depart from Oslo bound for the primary New York City area hub on June 14, initially 2x weekly, then daily from July 4.

03.05.2022 - 09:08 UTCNorse Atlantic Airways (N0, Oslo Gardermoen) has outlined its initial network with its first flight, from Oslo Gardermoen to New York JFK, scheduled to depart on June 14, 2022.
The Norwegian long-haul low-cost carrier plans to operate the following routes out of Oslo during the summer 2022 season:
- New York JFK (starting on June 14, daily as of July 4),
- Fort Lauderdale Int'l (3x weekly starting on June 18),
- Orlando Int'l (3x weekly starting on July 5), and
- Los Angeles Int'l (3x weekly starting on August 9).
The airline will soon announce its transatlantic plans from Paris and London Gatwick, the latter operated by Norse Atlantic (United Kingdom) (London Gatwick). It also plans to add more destinations in North America.
