Delta Air Lines (DL, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson) has firmed up options for twelve A220-300s, an announcement made during the 2022 Farnborough Air Show said.

The commitment brings the US carrier's total A220 order backlog to 107 aircraft - forty-five A220-100s (all delivered) and sixty-two A220-300s (of which 11 have so far been delivered). Taking this announcement into consideration, Delta now has remaining options for 38 more A220-300s.

Earlier, Delta placed a firm order with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) for 100 B737-10 MAX with options for 30 more.

The US is shaping up to be a major market for the A220s - besides Delta Air Lines, JetBlue Airways has an order for 100 units (11 delivered so far) and Breeze Airways for 80 (six delivered so far), the ch-aviation fleets module shows.
