Cabo Verde Airlines (VR, Sal Amilcar Cabral International) has wet-leased an A320-200 from Malta's Airhub Airlines (RE, Malta International) for use mainly on its routes to Lisbon to cover for the absence of an in-house B737-700.

9H-GTS (msn 4384) was ferried from Vilnius to Lisbon on September 23, 2022, and operated its first commercial flight for Cabo Verde Airlines on the same day to Praia via Sal Amilcar Cabral International, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows. It has since been deployed on services to Portugal from Praia, Sal, and São Vicente. Cabo Verde Airlines does not operate any other scheduled routes.

The aircraft is replacing Cabo Verde Airlines' in-house B737-700 D4-CCI (msn 34559), which was ferried from Lisbon via Faro to Addis Ababa International for maintenance over the course of September 22-23, 2022. The carrier's only other aircraft, B757-200 D4-CCG (msn 24760), has been in storage since June 2021 and is slated for retirement.
